H.W. Hunter Pavilion - AV Fairgrounds
5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Hosted by the students of Operation All The Way Home, Pride of the Nation is a very special Antelope Valley tradition. While Pride of the Nation is the Antelope Valley's official Armed Forces Day event, this year's date is the Saturday after Armed Forces Day, which is Memorial Day weekend. The date had to be adjusted this year to accommodate OATH's senior students’ graduation activities.
Pride of the Nation brings together community members, civic leaders, veterans, and active-duty military personnel for an inspiring evening dedicated to honoring all who have served in the United States Armed Forces, past and present.
Admission to Pride of the Nation includes a tribute ceremony honoring all military personnel and veterans, an exquisite full-course dinner buffet, dancing and entertainment by the 22-piece "Antelope Valley Jazz Ensemble," under the direction of Lee Matalon, and a special presentation by keynote speaker, CW2 Jen Housholder, UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot, Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran (two tours), U.S. Army Reserve, CA Army National Guard, & U.S. Air Force.
